About DelayDue

DelayDue is an independent, advertising-supported website. DelayDue turns air passenger rules — EU Regulation 261/2004, its UK version and the US DOT refund rule — into clear calculators, so travellers know what they are owed before they claim.

What we publish

Five tools — a compensation calculator, a great-circle distance calculator, a which-rules-apply checker, a US refund checker and a free claim-letter generator — plus guides and a glossary. We do not file claims.

How we research

Rules come from the text of Regulation (EC) No 261/2004 on EUR-Lex, the European Commission Your Europe pages, UK Civil Aviation Authority guidance, 14 CFR Part 260 on eCFR and key Court of Justice judgments. Airport coordinates come from OurAirports (public domain). We summarize in our own words. Every figure that comes from a third party is linked at the bottom of the page where it is used, and every page shows when it was last reviewed. If a carrier, retailer or organisation changes its published information, the official source wins over anything on this site.

How the tools work

Calculations run in your browser from what you enter. Nothing is uploaded. Results are estimates; airlines, enforcement bodies and courts decide actual claims.

How we make money

DelayDue shows advertising (Google AdSense) and does not accept payment from insurers, brokers, banks or any company in exchange for coverage in our guides. We do not sell leads, and we do not sell or recommend any specific insurance policy or financial product.

Corrections

If you spot an error, tell us through the contact page. We correct factual mistakes quickly and update the “last updated” date when we do.
